Don't know if you already know - but Pete Thornton died over last weekend!! Apparently he has been suffering from Bone Cancer for some time. I rang his wife Rita late Tuesday night and expressed my sorrow at his passing. 216 Signal Squadron have already put a notice on there web page.

I knew him very well having lived in the next door bunk to him in Rawson Block for 2 years - always well turned out, he had all the best gear(clothes) and was the proud owner of a Rolex!!!!

Spent many a time at the Brit Club followed by a drunken swim in the Singapora Hotel with guess who - Mac McBirney - great memories.
